Home Away From Home

Hello family and friends!

I have been loving the last three weeks here at Saint Norbert College! I have been quite busy from classes, social events (no parties for me!), and my research fellowship. This is my first blog and I’m not totally sure how to go about this, but here we go! I’m going to recap the last few weeks and share some pictures! From the friends I have made and the lovely food at Ruth’s Marketplace, I have found a home away from home.

Sunrise on 9-11-2018 / My roommate and I went to exercise and we were greeted with this!

College is an exciting time for anyone. And it is also nerve racking! Meeting new people, not knowing where your classes are, and moving all your possessions into a small room. It’s weird for me to think that I had to take everything I need to live comfortably and move into a smaller place. College is weird. Regardless, I have been having a blast!

Moving in day was pretty hectic. The weather was warm, there were a lot of boxes, I then had to unpack said boxes, and organize everything! It was a lot to do in a two hour period but it was an experience that I will never forget. At first it seemed as though that my room would never become done. It seemed like the boxes would become my close companions because there were so many! Anyways, it can be done. Look, I moved into college!

Let’s pretend that I made my bed!

Another aspect of SNC that I have been loving is being a part of the honors program. I am housed with like-minded, academic driven people and it is super motivating. Not to say that we don’t have fun! I have had some wild nights staying up past my bedtime (9:30), playing Uno, and watching movies! It has been great being surrounded with people that are similar to me. The third floor is the best floor! Just saying 😉

So far, I have been having such a great time at college. I will continue to blog on here and keep y’all updated on my life!

Thanks for reading this far!
